Rahmat Imam obtained her LLB degree in Common and Islamic Islamic Law from the University of Ilorin and went further to obtain a B.L from the Nigerian Law School in 2018, graduating with a first-class and the DG’s award for attaining first class. She later pursued an LLM degree at the University of Ilorin completing it in 2023. Currently serving as a lecturer at the Department of Private and Property Law within the Faculty of Law at the University of Ilorin, she is also a practicing barrister and solicitor at the Supreme Court of Nigeria. With extensive experience as a litigation lawyer, Rahmat has a keen research interest and has focused on areas such as Private and Property Law, Family Law, Human Rights, and Law on gender-based violence, particularly domestic violence against men.
