Bashiru Adeniyi OMIPIDAN, is a professor of law in the Department of Private and Property Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin. He has served at various departmental, faculty, and university committees and board representatives and currently serving as Director of the Centre for Open and Distance Learning, University of Ilorin. His research interest cuts across the law of tort, legal drafting and conveyancing, law and social change, Islamic medical law, euthanasia law, medical law, and ethics. He has to his credit over 50 publications in reputable outlets covering journals and chapters in books. He has successfully supervised over 54 Undergraduate students, 31 Masters, and 4 PhD students in various areas of law. Prof. Omipidan is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria, he is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a fellow Institute of Medical and Health Law.
